A moment of clarity

 Moment of Clarity

The sin in this world has polluted us.

Our hearts and minds have become thick with sludge so that our sight is blurred and our voices dimmed.

Voices compete in our mind informing our worldview. We have have gone astray.

Blinded and deafened to the One Who first created us in His image.

Most are unaware of this plight for this has become their norm.

Until you have a moment of clarity.

Like someone splashed some cold water on you and you had a momentary factory reset.

You had a pause where the eternal collided with the temporary and you looked up and beheld His glory.

Perhaps a circumstance overwhelmed you and your helplessness drove you to your knees.

Bend Your ear, O God, and hear my prayer.

And He did.

You suddenly become aware of what grace is as a glimmer of hope and light filter through and you feel carried.

Breathe Your life into me, O God, and renew a right spirit in me.

Remove the sludge of sin in my life that weighs me down and makes my steps heavy. Oh Father take me back to Eden when Adam and Eve walked with you, whole and satisfied. The freedom of walking with You with nothing between us that clouds our communication. Let your kingdom of heaven come in the earth that You have given to me. Let Your will be done.

My heart overflows with gratitude in this early morning as Your thoughts overflow from my heart. Your grace O Lord overwhelms me right now..

Come with healing power right now in me, body, soul and spirit and let that healing power flow in and through me to all those You allow my life to touch.

I pray for each of them right now, some fast asleep, some struggling to rest. Holy Spirit come in healing power over each one as I call their name at this hour, 459am November 14, 2025.

To You be the glory forever and ever, Amen 🙏

A 70th Remembrance that Testifies to His Love!

Happy 70th Birthday to Me!

Sita through the ages

I believe it was one of the most beautiful weeks in my life in the time that I have spent in Canada.

How did that happen?

It started with me doing the Bible Reading Plan with Lina Abujamra this year. It suddenly struck me that there was a lot of remembering going in Scripture. God called His people to remember how He had delivered them from Egypt and David remembered His faithfulness and unfailing love.

At the same time my elderly parents especially my mom was having a lot of memory loss and I discovered that dementia was in my maternal genetic line.

Thus I felt a God-nudge to remember.

Remembering is something throughout Scripture that we are commanded to do:

Deuteronomy 6:12; 8:2,11; Isaiah 46:9;1Corinthians 11:24--

"be careful not to forget the Lord, who rescued you from slavery in the land of Egypt."

"And you shall remember [always] all the ways which the Lord your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, so that He might humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart (mind), whether you would keep His commandments or not."

"Beware that you do not forget the Lord your God by failing to keep His commandments and His judgments (precepts) and His statutes which I am commanding you today;"

"Remember [carefully] the former things [which I did] from ages past;
For I am God, and there is no one else;
I am God, and there is no one like Me,"

"and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “This is (represents) My body, which is [offered as a sacrifice] for you. Do this in [affectionate] remembrance of Me.”

In Psalm 103, the Psalmist David has remembrances:

"These remembrances rouse David's soul to remember his life through the lens of a God who loves him, is always for him, will never forsake him, and will bring him to his home as His child one day." (Susannah Baker)

Psalm 103: 1-5

 Let all that I am praise the Lord;

with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.

Let all that I am praise the Lord;

may I never forget the good things he does for me.

He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases.

He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies.

He fills my life with good things.

My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!

I asked my friends 2 months before my birthday to send me a video birthday greeting saying how we met, what they remembered about me and any blessing they would like to. Some were not comfortable with a video so they sent a personal message. Several did send a message. I put together a reel imaging my life journey thus far.

And I remembered. His unfailing love and faithfulness in my life from the time He formed me in the womb. And I realized that He's been so so good to me.

And my most played song for 2024 rings even truer at the beginning of my 70the year:

And so I thank God for His UNFAILING LOVE and Faithfulness.

My Thank you note to friends and family:

"Yesterday was truly overwhelming receiving all the greetings and blessings from so many. Some of you sent me a video where I could see you and hear you, and can go back and replay to my heart’s content! I am truly humbled by your encouragement and memories and receive and accept your blessings with much gratitude. You have each blessed my life in your unique ways. Thank you!
🙏
There have been seasons when I could not celebrate life and honestly could not sing that God was so so good to me. Some of you may be there right now and possibly flinched when you saw my reel.
I am here to encourage you that indeed this too shall pass but more importantly, I want you to see that God’s goodness to you is always there even in the hard seasons if you look intentionally. In the blue sky with white fluffy clouds, in the green foliage and blooms in vibrant colours, in the sunlight shimmering on ripples in the lake, in the eyes of your loved ones, in the encouraging note you receive.
We all walk through fire at certain points and come out with scars. It is your choice how to treat those scars: as ugly and festering reminders of betrayals and loss or as beautiful reminders that scars can be surrendered to God who turns ashes to beauty and can transform our scars to beauty marks that reveal His grace in your story.
I can declare unequivocally that it is Jesus Who has made the difference in my life and with every post, my purpose is to point you to Him as Saviour and Redeemer.
I can declare that He has been and continues to be so so so good to me, always, in the sunshine and in the rain. His love is unfailing and His faithfulness reaches to the sky.

* Psalm 36:5-7: “Your unfailing love, O LORD, is as vast as the heavens; your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds...How precious is your unfailing love, O God! All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of your wings”."

Father, May I always remember You and share Your Good News.
Lovingly Yours,
Sita

A friendship of 7 decades! Happy Birthday, Faaz!

Happy 70th Birthday Blessings, dear Faaz!
November 2, 2025

From El Carmen St and Pro Queen St in Arima, Trinidad to Mississauga and Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada.
Our friendship has spanned 7 decades from kindergarten till now.
See this post for our history!

Faaz, the Lord knew when we were both formed in our mother's wombs that the purposes He had designed for us included each other.
In a world that is constantly changing there are few things left that are stable in our lives, that we can depend on. You are one I can always depend on to be 'for me'.
We cannot always be there physically, but always there otherwise.
You have the uncanny ability to read between the lines of our interactions and offer the encouragement that I need.
I know that you care deeply for my family. We have a deep rooted history that binds us together. You care deeply for your loved ones and sacrifice daily for them.
You have walked alone many times wondering if you could survive. But you proved yourself to be a warrior and have come through the many storms victorious.
You have been learning the deep lessons of letting go and depending on God alone when no one else could lend a hand.
You have leaned into your faith and developed a deeper intimacy with Him.
You still laugh with all your heart and your eyes light up as they did when we were carefree teenagers.
You ponder on life with discernment and you speak with clarity and wisdom.
I still think you have a book in you that I am waiting to proofread to get some income when the royalties start pouring in!😁

In other words Faaz, because you were born, the world became a better and safe place for me and others. I don't know how I can thank you for all that you have been to me. I can continue to pray for you and your family as I do mine.
Here are some blessings from Scripture to offer you:
From Psalm 34:4-10

"I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me.  He freed me from all my fears. Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces. In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened; He saved me from all my troubles. For the angel of the Lord is a guard; he surrounds and defends all who fear him. Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him! Fear the Lord, you his godly people, for those who fear him will have all they need. Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing.

Faaz, may you continue to cry out to Him and find Him listening. May you be freed from all your fears as you look to Him. May your face radiate with joy with no shadow of shame. May He be a guard surrounding and defending you as you fear Him. May you taste and see His goodness in your life. As you take refuge in Him, may your joy overflow. As you fear Him, may you have all that you need and lack no good thing. I pray this for you in the mighty Name of Jesus in Whom all things are possible for there is nothing too hard for Him. Now to Him Who is able to do so much more than we can ever imagine, to Him be the glory forever and ever, Amen.

And here is a song to bless you in this new stage of our life:

Photos capturing our journey together.

God has been in this story, His story in your story as the song says:

I celebrate you today and forever. Thank you for the gift of your friendship.💖
With much love, thoughts and prayers,
Sita
