Closing off 2009

It's been a strange year for me. There have been momentous highlights like my son's baptism and my sister's mission trip. But for almost half the year, my blogging 'motivation', perhaps inspiration, just fizzled. I lost heart. So I have been seeking God.
Transition? New focus? I asked Him.

No more has been revealed to me except that He wants me in His Word. When I started this blog, I needed a 'safe place' to share my wounded heart. I don't need that anymore.

This year I participated in Beth Moore's Scripture memory challenge (see sidebar). What started as a 'dry' exercise has transformed my attitude to His Word. Indeed, it has become as Psalm 19 says "sweeter than honey and the honeycomb". Only God could do this. His Word is alive.

So I close off 2009 with hope and waiting as I plant myself in His Word and bloom for His glory. I hope you join me. For those who still 'follow' me, I thank you for your faith in me. It means a lot.
God Bless You all.

Love, Sita

i've had a blogging block this year too ... but sometimes God wants us to focus on something else, and it sounds like memory work and listening to Beth Moore studies is a very profitable way to use your time ...

blessings on you in 2010, as you continue to grow in grace!

Saija, thank you so very much. Your transparency, your gentle words, your poignant posts, your prompt and gracious responses in my email give me much to be thankful for. You are in my prayers this night as I welcome the New Year.
