Happy 27th To My Lastborn!

27 YEARS OLD!

For since the world began,

    no ear has heard

and no eye has seen a God like you,

    with roots that reach deep into the water.

Such trees are not bothered by the heat

    or worried by long months of drought.

    and they never stop producing fruit.

Rootedness - Fruitfulness for 2025

Just recently, you did a cover of the new Elevation song, I Know A Name, and Elevation Worship saw and commented! That was such an awesome moment. Then I heard that you were invited to be part of a worship team for Worship Project. Also awesome. That's the physical realm. What I see in the spiritual realm is God telling you, "I see you, Daniel. I see your struggle. I see your faithfulness. I see your heart. And the more than you can imagine is the fruit of faithful prayer and service. It is coming. Always remember it is not of your striving, but my love for you that is opening the doors where the display of my glory will shine through the gifts of music and teaching that I have lavished on you." 

So I see a year of doors opening, in His perfect timing, perhaps beckoning you out of your comfort zone, where you will begin to see the 'more than you can imagine.'

As I remember the Israelites in my reading, I exhort you to remain humble and sober-minded, and faithfully walk through those doors, not in your own strength, but in His might and power anointing those gifts, and bringing joy overflowing to your heart that has known so much heaviness.

It's been an eventful year. You became an uncle the second time around and I love the tenderness I see in your heart towards your nieces. You met and enjoyed time with family from England. You produced another Amazing Race video with Jonathan. You gave me my most played song of 2024, and probably the rest of my life, although I will wait for So Will I. 😊

I am so proud of you for your vulnerability in sharing of your journey and struggles in a public forum. In all honesty, there are people who will resonate deeply but never comment. You will have nudged them closer to God as they struggle. Most of us never see the fruit of our obedience, but we will in heaven. Just remain steadfast, with roots that continue to reach deep into the River of Life. May your heart continue to transform into His image, portraying the glory that was in Eden, when all creation was perfect and His glory was manifest in utter beauty.

And let's not forget this was the year you steadily produced YouTube videos and shorts and Tiktok videos and now have 261 subscribers! Continue to produce as led by the Lord. Your music videos show how much your vocals have improved. Your teaching videos reveal a man who thinks deeply on issues and wants to reach out to those struggling to draw them towards the Father. Then there are your fun videos highlighting restaurants and of course the Amazing Race Zoe video. Your gifts and talents are growing exponentially as you persevere in putting content out there. May God bless the words of your mouth as you journey on. May He give you inner strength to protect you from the culture of hate and cancellation prevalent on social media.

So my son, I would like to close with a prayer for you:

Father, thank you for the gift that is Daniel. I thank You for Your tender mercies towards him. I thank You for sustaining him all through his 26th year. I thank You that I can see Your Hand on his life. I thank You that You have been His protector and provider. I thank You for the joy he brings to me and those he loves. I thank You for his beautiful heart. 

As we go into his 27th year, I pray that he will become more and more rooted in Your river of life, drinking in gulps and sipping Your love and mighty power. I pray for a heart of humility as You exalt him in Your perfect time. Give him a receptive heart in the waiting room where transformation takes place to handle Your calling on his life as it was with Joseph. I pray that he will be like his namesake Daniel, a consistent and faithful prayer warrior who is known for his integrity and that he will find favour with those in authority. I pray that you provide him with the income needed to fulfill Your purposes for him. Deliver him from temptation and deliver him from evil.

I pray that You will continue to bless his relationship with Cynthia as they move forward this year.

May his life testify to Your love for him always.

Now to You be the glory forever and ever.
