Today I feel the need to cry out to my God. This journey is all about a very imperfect woman struggling, stumbling, yet knowing where her strength comes from, and it is not from within herself as our popular philosophy leads us to believe; it is from her God! Pray with me. First, let's use Beth Moore's Tuesday's "Cry Out" from her book, Get Out Of That Pit:
"To You, O Lord, I cry aloud and You will surely answer me from Your holy hill (Psalm 3:4). Arise, O Lord! Deliver me, O my God! From You alone comes deliverance. May Your blessing be upon Your people (Psalm 3:4-5). May my cry come before You, O Lord; give me understanding according to Your Word. May my requests come before You; deliver me according to Your promise (Psalm 119:169-170). Lord, You are my Light and my Salvation--whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life--of whom shall I be afraid (Psalm 27:1). Make me confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living (Psalm 27:13). You have told me everything is possible for him who believes. Help me overcome my unbelief. (Mark 9:23-24.)
All of my reading this week so far has as its theme--Look to ME!--it is so hard to not look at the pressing issue, when it presses in on you, like a bill to be paid, like a child who is suffering, like a pain that never goes away, like a work colleague who shows selfish disregard for you...and I could go on....pray with me from Psalm 141...
O Lord, I call to You, come quickly to me. Hear my voice when I call to You. May my prayer be set before You like incense; may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice. Set a guard over my mouth, O Lord. My eyes are fixed on You, O sovereign Lord, in You I take refuge--do not give me over to death. Father, I deliberately push aside this anxious thought and I fix my eyes on You, because my Hope is in You. Give us this day our daily bread, Jehovah-Jireh, that money to cover needs, that relief from pain, that lifting of our spirits, that touch of grace that gives us a sudden sense of being washed in love and light. I release my weary spirit to You, Lifter of my soul. Thank You that Your power is made perfect in my weakness. Father, make me CONFIDENT of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living (Psalm 27:13). Thank you. In the most powerful Name of Jesus, I humbly submit. Amen.

OH my goodness my friend if you only knew what's going on financially, but I am choosing to trust completely in Him. I will be pulling this book off the shelf tonight & reading up on some of it.
