I thought about this and it struck me, my life would be light, I would be able to fly, there would be no fear to debilitate, incapacitate, paralyze me. Wow! She went on to quote from Esther who was facing a life and death situation, and had to make a choice. Her response, "If I perish, I perish." In other words, if her worst fear of death was realized, then so be it. Behind this was the knowledge of God's Providence, the God of the Jews Who had delivered them and carried them and sustained them throughout their history.
What is your worst case scenario? Most times, what we worry about does not happen. But when Satan is aware of your fear, he torments you with it. The only way for a surrendered heart to neutralize him is by saying, if so and so happens, God has not left me, He is still with me. Yes, I may be devastated for a while, but I will get up! He has promised to redeem, restore and advance His kingdom in the life of the believer who simply obeys and trusts.
Yesterday, a huge wave of anxiety struck me and for once I became angry and locked myself in my room and started to read Scripture purposefully and pray. I did not want to cower, but like Esther, to put on my royal robes as a princess and take a stand, even while trembling. I want to be free.
Do you have waves of fear? Then attack it head on, with His love, His truth. I plan to do that. I looked for a song with words that apply. So, sing with me.
Then pop by Amy's to hear more songs that minister.
Isaiah 41:10 (Amplified Bible)
Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice.
Lyrics:
I will lift you from all your fear
You will hear my voice
I claim you as my choice
Be still and know I am here
I am hope for all who are hopeless
I am eyes for all who long to see
In the shadows of the night
I will be your light
Come and rest in me
Do not be afraid, I am with you
I have called you each by name
Come and follow me
I will bring you home
I love you and you are mine
I am strength for all the despairing
Healing for the ones who dwell in shame
All the blind will see
The lame will run free
And all will know my name
Do not be afraid, I am with you
I have called you each by name
Come and follow me
I will bring you home
I love you and you are mine
Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice.

Blessings Sita...Beautiful video & song to calm any fear! May this song remain in your inner being so that you remember these words:
"Do not be afraid, I am with you
I have called you each by name
Come and follow me
I will bring you home
I love you and you are mine"
AND...
"I am strength for all the despairing
Healing for the ones who dwell in shame..."
Be strong like Esther, my dear sister Sita and fight the battle with His strength & His armor on
as you put that enemy in his place.
Don't let him in or get to you again ever...You are a daughter of a King! So sing it out & sing it strong!
Wow, what a wonderful song! I used to be bound by a spirit of fear. I wouldn't wish that torment on anyone.
Thank you for sharing today. It is nice to meet you.
Blessings,
Beth
Hi Peggy,
Thank you so much for your exhortation and blessing of courage. I needed that today. May God surround you with His peace today.
Love, Sita
Beth,
So nice to meet you. In this age of economic uncertainty, a spirit of fear abounds all around us and we are definitely in a battle for our minds. I only found this song this morning and it spoke to me.
May God keep you free from fear.
Love, Sita
What a good choice! I finished the Beth Moore Esther study a few weeks ago. It was SO great! Thanks for sharing!
I loved the Esther study so much. Beth brought out so many great points...things I never would have thought of, but things we all go through.
You are so right about our fears and how satan knows just what they are and tries to torment us. I am continuing to learn to not give in to my fears. That's what he wants. It's hard at times but the best thing to do is what you did...lock yourself in a room with the Word of God. That is the answer. He is the answer.
Thanks for the reminder about my font on my posts. It just automatically did that small one so I bumped it up to the "normal" setting. For some reason part of my latest post is smaller again. I appreciate you telling me though. Hopefully it'll be easier for everyone.
Hope you're having a good weekend!
Love,
Val
That is a beautiful video, Sita. Thank God, He did not give us the spirit of fear, but of power and love and of a sound mind. And I'm speaking to myself here too, as I tend to dread (or fear?) an upcoming test.
I am so blessed by this. Thank you!

Hi Sita,
Last night I lay awake my heart beating loudly in my ears. I was not aware that I was anxious or afraid, but today, I am trembling even as I write. I guess, we are all given to fear and doubt. The devil gets hold of us and then the Lord comes and saves us from that grip, as always. But againand again, the same can happen, sometimes.
Julia
Hi Jamie, Val, Cathy, Beth, and Julia,
I am so glad you were blessed by this song. I did not realize until Beth asked that question, how very much 'fear' manipulates all our lives, some more than others, in some specific areas sometimes quite disproportional.
Yet as Christians, as Cathy said, we know that God does not author a spirit of fear, but gives us a spirit of power, of love, and a sound mind. Perfect love drives out fear.
May we go on our knees, physically when we can, figuratively when we can't, when any fearful thoughts intrude and ask Him for His spirit of power, love and a sound mind to drive them out. He Who lives in us is greater than he who live without.
Be blessed,
Love, Sita
I face several Esther-like situations in my life. I have no choice but to plunge ahead...sometimes all alone, but God 's been by my side.
Beautiful song.
As you know I'm in a constant battle of faith over fear. Life without fear. I rejoice over a day without fear. One step at a time.
Hugs,
Joy
Joy and Amrita,
it is definitely a journey, one step, one hour, one moment at a time...a slow freeing that makes us long for when we will be free totally..when we shall see Him...
With you,
Sita
Currently, my worries surround the future of my high school senior. I wouldn't qualify them as "fear", but it could quickly go there if allowed to marinate within the boundaries of my mind. I want so much for him; I'm just concerned about the many "things" that have to come together to see his future unfold as I desire.

Sita I tagged you on my blog, see if you want to play
That is so true Sita. Most things we fear never come to pass, but even if they do, we never have to face them alone. Jesus is there, in the midst of our storms, leading us by the right hand. Good on you for taking a stand upon His word.
Praying for you. :)
