Then Sings My Soul Saturday

In my day, there was no other song that tugged at people's heart like this one. Everyone could identify with the emotions of a broken heart, feeling abandoned. Alone Again Naturally as sung by Gilbert O'Sullivan. What broke my heart were the lines.."leaving me to doubt how a God in His mercy. Oh if He really does exist, then why did He desert me.."
Even as a Christian I have felt this deep despair, when it seems that God has indeed shut His eyes and ears towards me, and I cry to God as the Psalmist did,
"How long, O Lord?"
However, because I am a Christian, I know that the facts were, are, and always will be true of God, "
I am with you, I will never leave you or forsake you.."
And in a response to a song without hope, comes another song that tells of our Hope, a Saviour Who says,
" I felt every teardrop when in darkness you cried...and I strove to remind you that For those tears I died..."
Please listen to both songs, voice your own despair or on behalf of those beautiful young girls the Cambodian team are ministering to, and then drink of the Living Water and pray that these girls will know that Jesus knows and feels.

Please drop by Amy's to hear more songs that minister.

I remember the song. I think my youth choir sang it. What a memory. I think you and I are on the same page today. You said what I tried to express.
Thanks for your post. Thanks for sharing.

Both these songs are very dear to me Sita.

Sometimes I have felt as if God had deserted me and he ignored my prayers, but that was the time He was closet to me

Sita, thank you so much for posting this song, "For those tears I died". Tomorrow will be a very sad day for my husband and I, as it will be his last Sunday as pastor of the church he has pastored for the last 15 years.

There will be tears and I will remember this song.

I covet your prayers.

~Blessings~

Hi Cathy,
That song is noted for its beautiful harmony and funded the writer's mission dream.

Debra,
May God surround you and your husband, protect and comfort, fill and overwhelm with His grace. As the verse on Beth Moore's blog said today...He is fulfilling His purpose in that which is happening, in that in which we are crying out to Him.

Sita, my sister and I used to sing and sign "For Those Tears He Died" when we were teenagers. Haven't heard it in a long time. Thanks for this beautiful reminder.

Blessings,
Joy
