TSMSS - Surrender

**I did not mean to write this post. I had something else in mind. Yet I felt impelled, so I know this was God-induced for someone. Have no clue why but I 'surrender' to God. (Confirmed moments ago when I visited Peggy. Please visit her.) Con**
Today's theme is 'surrender'.
Surrender means to yield ownership, to relinquish control over what we consider ours: our property, our time, our "rights." When we surrender to God, we are simply acknowledging that what we "own" actually belongs to Him. He is the giver of all good things. We are responsible to care for what God has given us, as stewards of His property, but by surrendering to God, we admit that He is ultimately in control of everything, including our present circumstances. Surrendering to God helps us to let go of whatever has been holding us back from God's best for our lives. By surrendering to God, we let go of whatever has kept us from wanting God's ways first.  (Surrender to God)

As in the dance of life with our Lead.
Yielding to that tug, that touch,
sometimes gentle, sometimes firm...
to turn here...rest here...2 steps forward...3 steps back...
the exhiliration of twirling, twirling
only to be to be caught in His dependable embrace.
An utter surrender.
The world glimpses a dance of most exquisite grace and beauty...
the world is hushed...glimpsing Truth...
where the temporal and eternal collide...
A world that clamors for its 'rights'...
Confronted with the beauty of surrender...
to the Master Lead...
the perfect dance...
Oh may I, Lord, yield my rights-entitled will
to Your ever-knowing touch
to engage in
the Perfect Dance...

Listen with me to Claire Cloninger's Surrender sung by Debby Boone.
Are you at the end of yourself today?
Good.
Now you are in the frame of mind.
To finally yield.
To surrender.
To Him, the omnipotent, the omniscient, the omnipresent.
Yield. Rest.
(TSMSS is hosted by Amy. Please go there to listen to more songs that minister.)

Surrender
(By Claire Cloninger)

1. Like a song in the wind
Lord, You call me again
Surrender.
And I find myself drawn to Your voice
As I lean to the choice
Surrender.

2. Like the echoing sound of the sea
Lord, You echo in me
Surrender
Like a dancer I follow again
To the music within
Surrender

3. For the freedom I seek
Is the Word that You speak
Running deep as the song of my soul
To be totally sure
And totally Yours
And totally surrendered.

4. Like the song of the rain
You repeat the refrain
Surrender
And I know that your music is mine
And I follow in time
Surrender
(repeat vs.3)

5. Like a song in the wind
Lord, You call me again
Surrender
And at last I can soar like a bird
On the wings of the word,
Surrender.

Blessings Sita...How I love this Surrender song but I'm even more intrigued by the words you shared
in the "Perfect Dance". Did you write that? WOW!

I love how it's a lifestyle choice daily to surrender... And what All about Jesus shared further.
So how did you come up with today's theme is surrender? I will believe it is the Holy Spirit prompting.

Just open your arms and embrace Him fully! Let go of your grip and every last thread clenched in your hand, for Our LORD's in control and you know He will understand... after all it was written long ago in His plan. We must willingly trust and allow Him to lead & guide us! May He guide you through each season in your life!

Thanks for your visit & confirmation linking to me! What a blessing you are! EnJOY a wonderful weekend in His Presence!

Love Debby Boone & Pat Boone songs! The memories just came rushing in like a flood as I heard her sing! Now I'm listening to the others!

Thank you again, dear Peggy, for your thoughtful words. And yes, I did write those thoughts on the perfect dance--or more to the point, God voiced His words to me--it was like I had to pen them...thank you for your blessings,
Sita

Sita:

This song with Debby Boone, it's like a voice from the past, but the message is ever new and so relevant. Absolutely beautiful! And your thoughts which He prompted you to write, this really ministers tonight to me.

Thank you for sharing.

Thank you, Sonja and I pray that as you surrender, His love would filter deep and wide where you need His ministry.

Glory be to God. Please pray for a church member. Young woman named Gudiya. She had a second miscarriage in a year 's time, last week. Pastor told us she had not been taking the precautions the doctors advised. She is a new Hindu convert. Needs prayers.

I always loved Debby Boone. Especially when she was with her sisters early on. Thanks for this song. I remember it well.
