As the deer panteth for the waters, so my soul longeth after Thee.
You alone are my heart's desire and I long to worship Thee.
Psalm 42:1-2 (The Holy Bible, King James version)
As I write my first post on this blog, I am overwhelmed from my worship experience at church this morning. As we, a community of believers lifted our voices in praise, "How great is our God, sing with me, How great is our God, and all will see How great, How great is our God", I looked toward the heavens and knew the satisfaction of His Presence. There is no place I would rather be than in His Presence. There is a stillness and beauty and a sense of being enveloped in a love that penetrates and permeates, a love so perfect that it leaves you speechless. Your heart responds with gratitude.
Dear God, thank You. There is indeed no one like You. You are my all in all. As the psalmist David prayed, "O God, You are my God, earnestly I seek You; my soul thirst for You. My body longs for You, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. I have seen You in the sanctuary and beheld Your power and Your glory. Because Your love is better than life, my lips will glorify You. I will praise You as long as I live, and in Your Name I will lift up my hands. My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise You." (Psalm 63:1-5, The Holy Bible, NIV Version).
