It was extra special to have a childhood friend, Sandra, sitting next to me. In fact, as I was driving along to the study picturing Beth doing her study, her face 'morphed' into my friend's. Weird? But you know what, I realize that my friend is actually a Trini version of Beth Moore! Wow, should she hear God's call, there's no stopping her!
Anyway, this intro was about letting our lives be an exclamation mark. It was about the grave clothes being loosened; it was about realizing that 'life' is beyond our ability to live. As Beth says, it is about realizing that "through the infiltrating power of the Holy Spirit, I can...
-do things I couldn't.
-feel things I didn't.
-know things I wouldn't.
One of the verses especially struck a chord, because it is the primary lesson God has been teaching me recently:
"..We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about the hardships we suffered in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even fo life. Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead."
2 Corinthians 1:8-9
If you have already asked Jesus to come in to your heart, then His Spirit lives IN you and because of this, we are able to live life to the fullest, through Him IN us.
So let us heed the call together to "exclamation-mark living":
[___Put your name here____] , Come out!
[just as Jesus called out to Lazarus, dead in the tomb]
Psalm 27:13 - "I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living."
May I bless you all with the confidence that you will see how good God is, no matter how hard things seem at the moment.

Your words are very true. God has a way of shining in our darkest hours. He understands our needs so much more than we ever could.
God is all at once mysterious and completely knowable. Perhaps it is this strange and wonderful truth that keeps those of us who know Him so drawn.
Personally, I could never get through my life without His love and patience and mercy. He is my dearest friend and I look forward to the day that I can love Him as I was meant to love Him.
Praise God for that day will one day come for all that trust in Jesus Christ!
I think it's wonderful that men & children are included in this study...that it's not just for women.
I think this one is one of my favorites.
Glad to have the recap of the first lesson.
I'm also glad your friend was there.
Headin' back to work....
Love,
Val
Hello Friend!
I loved this study so much! It was the 1st BM study I completed. I can't wait to hear your thoughts on it!
Thanks for the sweet blessing you left on my blog about my daughter's new baby. You are so sweet. I wish you could see her Sita. She is so precious.
Love you,
Lelia
Sounds like this was great! I'm glad you stopped by today. I'm still praying for you daily. To answer your question, no we weren't at a writing conference. It was just a women's event. Amy and I decided to invite Janet and Kimberly. It was the first time I had met Kimberly in person. She is just as sweet and humble in person as on her blog. :) Be blessed today!

Wow. That pretty much totally sums up how I am feeling. Realizing what He can actually do. Through ME of all people. Through any of us.
Thanks for sharing, Sita! How exciting!
Wanting to live an "exclamation-mark" life,
Kimberly
