Happy Father's Day

I just spoke to my Dad in Trinidad. Now I am left feeling so sad that there is so much physical distance between us. He is a remarkable man now in his 80's. It was from him that I developed a love for Spurgeon's writings. He became a full-time pastor at the age of 70!..to 2 village churches! I was able to see last year when he visited the 'toll' that time and age takes on our bodies and our minds. I so wish I could take my Dad back to a time when he was physically and mentally robust. I so want him and my Mom to live out the rest of their lives with dignity. This is my desire. I also think of some friends today who have lost their fathers, like Wendy, like Cheryl...May God fill you today with a cup of comfort that ministers today.
Love, Sita

Father, I do commit my Dad to you today. You know my heart's desire for him. I can only commit him to You who created him and love him and is able. Please watch over him, quicken his mind once more, heal where it hurts today, revive him again. In the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
