What a tough week it has been--neglecting my time with the Lord--with the resulting burn-out of going on my own power. How easy to forget that it really is the Holy Spirit who gives you that love, joy, peace, patience, kindness and goodness that I have been learning about, the kind that comes from an eternal well that only He can uncap. Not that any human being cannot have good qualities as well, because after all, we were all created in His image and have His stamp, but without the Holy Spirit, it is limited in scope and tainted with self-interest. C.S. Lewis discusses this quite eloquently in Mere Christianity. If you are a thinker and seeker, I would suggest you get a copy of his book.

But today, I want to sing along with Keith Green, Create In Me A Clean Heart, because I feel so 'yucky' inside. I invite you to come the Cross with me and sing along with Keith. He is one of my most favorite singers of all time. He has this quality that reaches far down into your spirit. You always know his words are anointed, because it cuts like the Word of God. Today as I was reading about Enoch ,about how he walked with God, and then he was no more, I thought about Keith Green, and how fully he lived his calling. And then, he was no more.
