Following His Lead...

Our visiting speaker quoted the poem below to go along with his theme that God is everything, we are nothing, God in us is everything. God Who was everything, came down to earth, making Himself nothing, so that we who are nothing could be made everything in Him. Christ in me, the hope of glory. The Son never took a step without the Father's leading. John 5:19-20 (The Message) says...
So Jesus explained himself at length. "I'm telling you this straight. The Son can't independently do a thing, only what he sees the Father doing. What the Father does, the Son does. The Father loves the Son and includes him in everything he is doing.

So where does that leave us? Think about it.

Dancing with God

By: Elaine L. Guercio

When I meditated on the word “Guidance”,
I kept seeing “dance” at the end of the word.

I remember reading that doing God’s will is a lot like dancing.
When two people try to lead, nothing feels right.
The movement doesn’t flow with the music, and everything is quite
uncomfortable and jerky.

When one person realizes that and lets the other lead, both bodies begin to
flow with the music.

One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back or by pressing
lightly in one direction or another.

It’s as if two become one body, moving beautifully.
The dance takes surrender, willingness, and attentiveness from one person
and gentle guidance and skill from the other.

My eyes drew back to the word “guidance”.
When I saw “G”, I thought of God,

followed by “U” and “I”. “God”, “U” and “I” “dance”.

God, you and I dance.

As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust that I would get guidance
about my life.

Once again, I became willing to let God lead.
My prayer for you today is that

God’s Blessings and mercies be upon you on
this day and every day.

May you abide in God as God abides in you.
Dance together with God,

trusting God to lead and guide you through each
season of your life.

What a great truth so beautifully put down in a poem. The "Divine Dance" has in recent years been one of the themes God is developing in my life, and I've been asking God to make me a John 5:19 person day by day. Obedience, submission, following His lead, discerning where the cloud is going...

This post is another confirmation, and I thank God for using you to speak to me today.

Guidance as God, U and I dance, with God as the leading partner, what a wonderful image that creates! Thanks for sharing this, Sita.

I will never hear or see the word "guidance" in the same way again. What beautiful thoughts--a holy dance between my Savior and me. I love that!

Oh Sita, I love this. "Guidance" - God, U and I dance!

I often write about "dancing". To me it depicts such freedom and joy in following Christ's lead.

Putting on my dancing shoes,
Joy

Joy, like Elaine, if ever I see the word guidance now, that image comes to mind.
Keep on dancing,
