My first thought is, "what on earth will I write every day about?"
Yes, I do have numerous thoughts daily, but really, who wants to hear? Just last week, I experienced a low so low that I did a quick post on FB, "Standing in the need of prayer." I have seen people express their need for prayer many times on FB and witnessed the outpouring of support from 'Friends'.
Well, I received 'ZIP", yes, "NADA" responses. I typed, "invisible" as a comment.
I did receive a "Like" yesterday. ? A slip of the finger on a mobile, perhaps?
Did it hurt? Yeah!
I asked why?
Was it because no one saw the post?
Was it because they did but didn't care in the least?
Or, did God blind them?
Regardless of the answer, it hurt.
And Satan rubbed salt in the wounds, "Ha ha, no one really cares a hoot about you! Ha!"
But, the fact is, regardless of the external reality, the eternal reality is : " I have loved you [Sita] with an everlasting love; therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn you and continued My faithfulness to you. (Jeremiah 31:3)
God wanted me to turn to Him, alone.
Alone.
No one can walk your road to Golgotha but you.
It is there your relationship with God is forged.
All the polite trappings are scraped off.
You are forced to be honest.
Like David here:
"I love God because he listened to me, listened as I begged for mercy.
He listened so intently
as I laid out my case before him.
Death stared me in the face,
hell was hard on my heels.
Up against it, I didn't know which way to turn;
then I called out to God for help:
"Please, God!" I cried out.
"Save my life!"
God is gracious—it is he who makes things right,
our most compassionate God.
God takes the side of the helpless;
when I was at the end of my rope, he saved me."
(The Message, Psalm 116: 1-6)
and here:
...I was right on the cliff-edge, ready to fall,
when God grabbed and held me.
God's my strength, he's also my song,
and now he's my salvation.
Hear the shouts, hear the triumph songs
in the camp of the saved?
"The hand of God has turned the tide!
The hand of God is raised in victory!
The hand of God has turned the tide!"
17-20 I didn't die. I lived!
And now I'm telling the world what God did.
God tested me, he pushed me hard,
but he didn't hand me over to Death.
Swing wide the city gates—the righteous gates!
I'll walk right through and thank God!
This Temple Gate belongs to God,
so the victors can enter and praise.
(The Message, Psalm 118: 13-20)
So today, I claim that 'word' and look forward to saying:
"The Hand of God has turned the tide! All glory to God!"
