I am SO very grateful for a day where it was effortless to function.
Like the woman above, I soaked in the sunshine in the car as I sat there and prayed and read.
I made some curry chicken.
I found an old pic to post on Mother's Day and I loved retouching it.
My Scripture reading was from 2Chronicles and I read all about Jehosaphat, one of the good kings, who followed the Lord's commands and was greatly blessed.
However, at one point, he was persuaded to ignore a message from God. It reminded me how very quickly pride can 'slip' in and we start to rely on our own strength. I have actually watched a friend, once strong in her dependence on God, gain fame and friends in high places, and how their 'life philosophies' are now influencing her. Could easily be me.
Perhaps that is why my life for many years have been lessons of having no other option but Him.
Lord, I am full of gratitude this day, full of joy, and I love it(:

Not long ago, I, too, read through these scriptures. I love digging into the OT and applying ancient truth to my very current life. It all fits!
